Deuteronomy 4:29 When I was in school, we took a field trip to, of all places, the Ashland mall because they were hosting a dinosaur exhibit in one of the empty store fronts. We got to see T-Rexes, Triceratops, and Stegosauruses.  In the middle of the exhibit, there was a large pit where you could pretend to be an archaeologist and dig for dinosaur fossils.  We dug up bones and other artifacts that may have been around in the days of the dinosaurs. You felt like a rockstar when you discovered a dinosaur fossil, and immediately you wanted to go brag to everyone else by showing them what you found. Discovering God’s will for your life is the greatest discovery you can make in your life.  The dangerous part of not discovering God’s will for your life is that you will constantly be searching for answers and feel as though you are wasting your time and energy.  When Paul, one of the greatest examples of someone following Jesus in history, conceded to following God’s will, he had opportunities to take the gospel all kinds of places. We have a tendency to get stingy with our time, talents, and resources. We struggle with giving up control in our life, even if it is to God. But, in doing so, we are running the risk of missing out on discovering God’s awesome plan for us. What area of your life do you need to hand over to God?  Take a small step this week to turn over this area to God and begin living life according to his will.]]>
