Bible In A Year | Read: Romans 10
13 for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” 14 How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? 15 And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!” 16 But not all the Israelites accepted the good news. For Isaiah says, “Lord, who has believed our message?” 17 Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ.Romans 10:13-17

Thoughts on the verses
We don’t have to travel to a very far to see the hurt and hopelessness that pervades our world today. Brokenness lives in our own backyards. How will our friends, co-workers, and neighbors know the truth of the Gospel message? Jesus invites us to join his rescue team and empowers us to share our story with others. We don’t need to have all the answers. When Jesus healed a blind man in John 9, the man simply said, “I was blind but now I see!” Let’s be faithful to share our story. God’s got the rest.
Overview of Chapter
Continuing to address the Jewish view, Paul tells them God is the God of both Jews and Gentiles. Anyone who hears the message of Jesus and accepts it is saved. He quotes Moses and Isaiah, who were two of the writers of the Old Testament, as predicting that non-Jews would listen to God’s message but that Israel would stubbornly reject it. Paul is seeing these predictions come true as most of the people coming to Jesus at this point are not Jews.
When Paul speaks of people needing to hear the message of Jesus and the need for people to take the message to them, he is speaking to those of us who know Jesus. People are far more likely to come to Jesus if we take the message to them. We should take the message to everyone, because God is the God of everyone, and anyone who trusts in Jesus will be saved!

Have you ever thought it would be cool to hear some C3 leaders discuss the daily verses, share about their lives and mostly just talk about nonsense?
