John 13:1-38 The most unshakable reality of this life is to know Jesus Christ loves you. John opens chapter 13 telling us that Jesus, “Having loved his own who were in the world, he loved them to the end.” Below you will find words or phrases from verses in chapter 13. Think and pray about how today will be impacted because of the reality that Jesus…

  • Has power over all things (v. 3)
  • Washes us or we have no part in him (v. 8)
  • Is our teacher, Lord and example of love (v. 14)
  • Calls His followers His children (v. 33)
  • Commands us to love one another (v. 34)
The power of Jesus’ love is beyond our comprehension, but not beyond our experience. The apostle Paul said it this way as he articulated the eternal expanse covered by the grace and love of Jesus, “For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 8:38-39)

Pray

Thank you Jesus for having power over all things and choosing to serve the least. Please give me Your merciful servant heart. Please give me Your love for others no matter how they treat me.
