Read 2 Timothy 4:6-8
Football is a grueling sport. It starts in the heat of summer and ends when the temperature starts falling. It takes hours of training in the off season, hours of practice, and alot of determination to be successful. Even a game can feel more like a marathon that a sprint. Those who are successful are those who can persevere through all the ups and downs and stay the course.
Life can be pretty grueling, too. There’s ups and downs, good times and bad times. There can be great joys and crushing heartbreaks. This is especially true of those trying to live for God. They serve and sacrifice, and great things are done. Other times, they can feel like they are constantly under attack, and they just want to give up. Life football, those who are truly successful are the ones who persevere.
A true game changer is one who sticks it out through the thick and thin. They show up every day, do the hard work, and remain faithful to the process. They realize that God will not leave them or forsake them, and they understand that God has a bigger picture than they can see. They keep showing up and doing what they need to do because they know it will be worth it in the end.
When it comes to following God, do you give up when it gets tough? Or, do you stick it out to see God do amazing things?
