Read Luke 16:10-13

One of the most legendary college football coaches of all time is Alabama’s Paul “Bear” Bryant. Every year, Bryant would give a speech to his incoming freshman. You can watch the video of one of these speeches on youtube here. The Bear was adamant about his players making sure they did the small stuff right. He believed that if you worked hard and did the little things right on the practice field, you would have success when it came time to step on the game field.

Just like it’s important to do the little things right with great effort in football, it’s equally as true in life. Why would God bless us greatly if we haven’t shown we can be faithful with what He’s already blessed us with? Many of us dream of doing or achieving big things, but God dreams of us making a big deal about the little things. He wants us to serve others behind the scenes, be faithful in being generous, and understand that being great only comes from doing the small things well.

How well do you do the little things in life? Do you serve others? Do you make sure you are faithful in spending time with God? Have you been generous with the blessings God has already given you? What small things do you need to make a big deal in your life?
