Read Mark 10:42-45
Growing up, I had a friend who was convinced he was going to be a famous singer one day. He thought that, after High School, it would only be a matter of time before he caught his big break and became an overnight superstar. While he probably would have never became a world famous singer at all in reality, he never even got an opportunity to have a successful singing career because he never did the difficult work that it takes to get to the next level.
That’s how life is for most of us. We have this dream of what life could be like. We think of things that maybe God wants to use us for and maybe even talk to someone about finding out what God’s will for our life is. Most of us, though, never feel like we have opportunities to do anything significant. We would love to do great things for God, but we just don’t see the doors opening.
The problem is that we think things should be handed to us, including opportunities to do great things for God.
Instead of waiting for God to open doors to do something, we need to start serving now. Our biggest opportunities in life are creating through serving. If we are doing little things to serve others, we will begin to see opportunities to do even bigger things in the future.
What are some ways you can start serving right now?READ THROUGH THE NEW TESTAMENT
