Read John 13:23, John 21:7, & John 21:20
The Apostle John, one of Jesus’ twelve disciplines wrote a book of the Bible that’s, fittingly, called the Gospel of John. Throughout this book, John refers to himself as “the disciple whom Jesus loved.” While this is easy to overlook, we have to remember that John spent three years of his life with Jesus. They were with each other 24/7. Jesus saw John’s weaknesses, his shortcomings, and even his sin. Despite seeing all the imperfections in his life, John still knew that Jesus loved him.
The great thing about God is that we can’t earn His love or acceptance. Our sin has totally ruined our relationship with Him, but, through what Jesus did on the cross, everything is made right. It’s not based on what you do or don’t do. You are the one whom Jesus loves, and His love is unconditional.
No matter what you’ve done or what your weaknesses are, you can be sure that God loves you anyway.
