Read Acts 7:54-60
One of the biggest heroes in the Bible that not very many people know about is Stephen. He was the first martyr of Christianity. He was put to death (under the order of none other than the future apostle Paul) because he shared his faith in Jesus Christ.
Despite being faced with beating, persecution, and death, Stephen refused to compromise. He continue to praise God and be faithful even in the last seconds of his life. Stephen is truly a hero because he didn’t give into fear. It wasn’t because he was strong or courageous, it was because his faith in God allowed him to be bold.
Are you faithful to God when times get tough? Are you bold and courageous like Stephen was, or do you give up because you are afraid? You can be courageous by trusting in God because God promises that He will be faithful to us.
