God used Moses to do some amazing things in His lifetime, but He didn’t allow Moses to take the Israelites into the promised land. God had asked Moses to speak to a rock. When he did this, God would make water flow from it so the people and their livestock could drink. Instead of speaking to the rock, Moses decided to strike the rock twice with his staff. He was frustrated with the people and with his situation, so he tried to take matters into his own hand. He rejected God by not trusting Him to do things the way God had asked Him to do. Do you sometimes try to take matters into your own hands? Take a few minutes today to ask God to help you follow His instructions for your life.]]>
