Bible In A Year | Read: 2 Corinthians 9

6 Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. 7 Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. 8 And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.  2 Corinthians 9:6-8

Overview of Chapter

Giving multiplies just like planting a seed causes a plant to grow and produce much more. At first glance, it sounds like Paul is saying If you give, God will see to it you get more money in return. However, the return he is talking about is spiritual results. If the Corinthians give, those who receive as a result will thank God for you and be able to continue to reach people for Jesus. A small gift results in people getting closer to God. Paul thinks that is a great investment!

Giving is a privilege. It’s a simple way you can help someone else grow spiritually – maybe someone you will never meet, in a place you will never go. People give, which meets the needs of others who do God’s work. Give wisely to those who will multiply your gift for a spiritual harvest.
