PRAY: This prayer prompt is designed to help get you started in your prayer time. Use this to either begin your personal prayer time or your prayer time with your spouse or family.
God was calling Moses to lead His chosen people out of slavery in Egypt, but Moses didn’t think he was capable of doing what God was asking. He essentially asks God, “How am I supposed to do that? What am I supposed to say to make this happen?” God responds by telling Him to tell them “I AM has sent me to you.” Moses was focusing on who Moses himself was, but God changed his focus from who he was to who God is. We can sometimes get discouraged, frustrated, and even confused in life. We can get so focused on who we are, what we can do, and what we want, that we forget that God should be the focus of our lives, and He is the reason that we live, breath, and can live out His purposes for our lives. Take a moment to thank God for your life and ask Him to help you learn to focus and lean on Him.
