By this time, God had given Abram and Sarai a fresh start by changing their names to Abraham and Sarah. Three strangers showed up to visit them with an odd announcement. They told Abraham and Sarah that they would return to visit them in one year, and, by then, the couple would have a son. Sarah, knowing she was too old to have a child, laughed to herself while preparing them food. One year later, however, Isaac was born. They named the boy Isaac because it means laughter and “God made laughter” for them. Sarah had laughed at the ridiculousness at the thought of God’s promise, but, a year later, she was laughing with joy. Take a few moments today to think of the ridiculous things in your life of the good variety. The fun and goofy times with the ones you love, the funny situations you’ve been in, and the good times you have had with those closest to you. Take a few minutes to thank God for all the fun times He has given you.
Two-a-days are designed for you to connect with God and those closest to you. Feel free to modify this plan to fit your and your family’s needs.]]>
