There will be times in your life when you will go through things you never would have chosen to go through. You will fight battles that you didn’t start. While you are in those battles, it is hard to see how anything good could come from them.  Thankfully, we have a God who promises otherwise. Romans 8:28 reminds us that God causes all things to work out for good for those who love Him. Yes, ALL things. This includes our most painful moments, our greatest battles.

Relying on Christ will give you the perseverance to endure every battle, and will cause you to experience victory in its fullest. In fact, we already have victory in Christ! Being the recipient of such great victory isn’t something to stay quiet about. Share about how Jesus has brought you through! It’s possible that sharing about the battles you have gone through, and the victory that Christ has given you, will be the light others need in their battles. When we share our struggles and are vulnerable with others, it creates a safe place. It shines a light that guides others out of the darkness.

The next time you go through a battle, remember: God will never waste your pain. He will use it for good, not only in your life but in the lives of others as well. Your darkest battles can become the brightest light that you will shine.
