Jacob may have returned home a changed man, but his old way of life was still affecting his family. Just like Joseph had used deceit for his own selfish gain so many times in his life, his sons were now following in his footsteps. They were jealous of their brother Joseph and the favoritism he received, so they decided to sale him into slavery and tell their father that Joseph had been killed. Our actions influence the people around us. Pray and ask God to help you be a positive influence on the people He has put in your life.
