John 13:34-35 Whenever my wife is around my extended family, she loves to point out things I get from other members of my family. She’ll say I act just like my uncle in certain situations or I have the same sense of humor as someone else. Every now and then, she’ll say that I’m definitely a member of my family because we all share certain traits. A good example is our tendency to talk loud and be opinionated. Most families have things that set them apart and identifies them as part of the family. To God, the thing that should identify Christians is their love for one another. God doesn’t say that He wants our theology and beliefs to set up apart. He didn’t say He wanted our protests to set us apart. He wants the way we treat one another to be what shows the world we are His followers. When we love and serve each other, we are giving everyone in our life a little glimpse into the love God has for each and every one of us. In a world where everyone is focused on themselves, someone who truly loves, shares, and cares stands out. If you want to share God’s love with a lost world, it starts by showing love to the people that God puts in your path each and every day. // TWO-A-DAYS // GO A LITTLE FARTHER WITH YOUR DAILY DEVOTIONS // Go through these questions with your spouse, kids, or friend, or you can even journal about the answers to these questions:
