1 Corinthians 7:2-5 It’s no secret that sex sells in our culture. It is used in advertising to entice people to buy certain products. It’s used in film, television, and media to increase ratings. It’s often even an element of why some people succeed in business and some don’t. With sex, we’ve taken a gift that God has given us to be enjoyed within the context of marriage and totally warped it to where it has become something we use for selfish reasons instead of the reasons God has given it to us. There are several gifts just like this, such as money, power, and fame, that God has given us to enjoy and use for His glory. They are amazing things if we use them in the way He designed us to use them, but, when we use them outside of the ways he intended them, they can ruin you. If you are using God’s gifts outside of the way He intended you to, stop now. If you are having sex outside of a marriage, stop. If you are consumed with money, and aren’t generous with what God has given you, stop. Don’t be selfish with the gifts God has given you. Instead, use them the way He designed you to. It will be better than you could ever imagine. READ THROUGH THE NEW TESTAMENT Today’s Reading: Matthew 1]]>
