Read 1 John 2:15-17
When I was in college, I had a huge final paper to do in one of my classes. This paper was worth the majority of our final grade. I worked for over a week on this paper, working several hours on it. I was nearly finished with the paper when I looked back over at the assignment and realized I had missed a small part of the description. I had done the paper completely wrong because of one small mistake early on.
Small steps in the wrong direction don’t seem like that big of a deal at the time, but those small steps will add up and lead us somewhere we thought we’d never be. Our lives aren’t often ruin all at once, it’s often ruined by small, seemingly insignificant bad decisions over a period of time that add up.
God cares about the little things in your life because they add up to become who you are. If there’s any small, seemingly insignificant sin or bad decisions that have lingered in your life, make sure to deal with it before it becomes a bigger deal than you can imagine.
