Read 1 Peter 5:6-11
I’m a dog person, but, when I was growing up, we had a cat. I really enjoyed playing with our cat. I called it playing, my mom called it tormenting. One time, I was messing with the cut and bit my face, leaving a scratch. I learned that day not to taunt the cat.
Just like my cat as a kid wasn’t to be toyed with, so is Satan and sin not something to be taken lightly or played with in our lives. They can bring us down and absolutely destroy our lives if they get a hold of us. Many people’s lives have been ruined because they took sin in their own life lightly. If you continue to taunt the enemy, he will eventually attack.
Don’t take sin lightly in your life and don’t allow Satan to get a foothold against you. If there’s sin in your life, no matter how small it seems, confess it to God and ask for forgiveness and strength to overcome it.
