Read Galatians 6:7-10
I like to play yard games like cornhole. The first time I ever played cornhole, I had a classic case of beginner’s luck. I was awesome. I would get cornholes and land just about every bag I threw on the board. However, the luck didn’t last, and, now, I’m lucky to get the bag to stay on the board. I thought the fun of being awesome at cornhole would last, but, it didn’t, because it was just luck.
Many people ride the hot streak in their personal lives. If things are going okay, they keep doing it because nothing bad has happened with it yet. Even though the consequences of our actions don’t typically happen right away, don’t assume that your disobedience will never cost you. Sin is fun for a season, but the consequences will come sooner of later. In the same manner, don’t get discouraged if you are doing the right thing and not seeing God’s blessing and working in your life. He will bless you in His time. You will reap what you sow.
