Before he was born, God chose Samson to become a great deliverer for Israel. An angel visited his desperate, childless parents to announce his upcoming birth. With great joy, they tried to raise him the way God wanted them to. Samson was an impressive individual, but he had a flaw. When he saw a beautiful woman, he wanted to be with her even if it wasn’t healthy or right. Eventually, he met his match in Delilah, who tricked him into disclosing the secret of his strength. Because of his weaknesses, Samson, the mighty warrior, became a slave and a laughingstock. In a last desperate act, he begged God to remember him. God heard his prayer, and Samson did more in his final act than he ever did while alive. God can still use us for His purpose no matter what we’ve been through or however much we’ve messed up. It’s never too late to make an impact. Spend a few minutes today to pray to God and ask Him to forgive you for your past mistakes and to still use you to make an impact.
