C3 Outreach Night is this Wednesday at 6:30 pm at C3!  What does building a bed for kid Coal Grove, putting down mulch outside and making Easter baskets for local businesses have in common?  You can help with one of those three areas this week at C3.  We’d love for you to join us and just in case you’re on the fence, we wanted to let you know what’s going on.

What are Outreach Nights?

The church has always existed to glorify God and for others.   Outreach Nights are simple once a month nights to help people at C3 shift the focus off of ourselves and onto others.  We are going to experiment during our small group semester this time with something new.  We will be getting together Wednesdays in the auditorium and will be following a 2-1-1 group method.

2 weeks a month we will do devotional/group discussions with people gathering into smaller groups.
1 week a month we will have an Outreach Night where we’ll do an outreach project together (build a bed, COVID Care kits, etc.).
1 week we will have a hangout night with food and games. Food and childcare will be provided on group discussion nights.

What are we doing?

It will change throughout the year and at some point different groups may even want to adopt certain areas, housing developments, schools, nursing homes or anywhere else they feel passionate about.  However, this Wednesday night, we’ll be building a children’s bed for kid in Coal Grove, putting together gift baskets for local businesses in the community and doing some fixer up work around the building like putting down mulch, trimming bushes and power washing.   At C3, we have always strived to be a church that was FOR each other and others (like Jesus was).  To be for each other and others, we can start by serving others with no strings attached. So bring some cordless drills if you’ve got them and join us.

Does this mean I’m joining a Bible study if I show up?

No..not at all!  We think that the Hangouts and Outreach nights will be great way for people to get to know each other and make a difference in our community each month.  However, we are not going to lie, we’d love to see you join up with some other people that you connect with and start going through the Bible together as well.  Trust us, our Bible discussions are not a chance to prove how much we know or don’t know.   They are just simply people checking on each other and then looking a some verses and asking ourselves what that means for us to live out each day.  If you’re a Bible scholar or missed the whole Sunday school Bible story thing as kid (like me) then I promise, you’ll be good to go.

Outreach Night at C3 is this Wednesdays at 6:30 pm…that’s February 23rd at 6:30 pm.   We’ll provide food & drinks and will be there from 6:30 to about 8pm.  See ya then!
