Genesis 2:2-3 & Ecclesiastes 2:24-25 Some of the most memorable commercials from my childhood are the Energizer Bunny commercials. I never understood why the bunny was pink or why he always carried a drum around, but, one thing is for sure, that bunny just kept going and going and going….okay, you get the picture. While the commercials were somewhat funny, the unfortunate thing is that most of us now have a similar mentality toward life that the energizer bunny did. We just keep going and going without taking time to rest, relax, and focus on the more important things in life. We get caught up in work, school, chauffeuring kids, navigating family gatherings, and tons of other things, that we forget that God has commanded us to take a day off now and then to recharge and refocus our lives. God wants us to rest because He knows that, when we are wore out, we are much more likely to become depressed.]]>
