Psalm 42 If you’ve ever taken a family vacation, you know that one of the most difficult parts of the vacation is finding space to fit everyone’s luggage in the car. It can be like trying to figure out an incredibly complex puzzle as you try to situate suitcases and duffel bags like they were tetris pieces. One trick the most experienced of vacation travellers know is to put the larger pieces in first. Once the largest pieces have found their home, you can fill in the extra spots with the smaller bags. Finding time for everything important in life can be even harder than packing for vacation. You have to juggle family, relationships, work, and a seemingly endless amount of other responsibilities. The trick of fitting in the most important things first is still just as effective when it comes to balancing all of life’s priorities as well. Yesterday, we talked about how important it is to make sure you don’t shut important people out of your life in order to avoid becoming depressed. You also need to make sure that you aren’t shutting God out of your life when things get stressful as well. God is there to comfort and encourage you throughout the toughest moments in life, and, if we lose track of Him when we lose our grip on things, we can quickly become discouraged and depressed.]]>
