Read Philippians 1:12-18a

A few years ago, I came across something called the Good News Paper. It’s basically a news paper that only shares good news. While I didn’t subscribe to the paper, I did follow them on social media, and I am so glad I did.

Throughout the Coronavirus crisis, they have been posting positive stories of people helping other people and the good things that are happening in the midst of these stressful and uncertain times. I find myself checking their instagram page often just to have a little boost throughout the day.

The Apostle Paul reminds me of this in Philippians chapter 1. Here’s an actual quote from him while sitting in a prison cell:

“What has happened to me has actually served to advance the gospel…. And because of this I rejoice.”

Can you imagine having that kind of outlook on life. That, even if things are going really bad for you, things are still good because God is using them for His purposes? That’s the type of faith and attitude Paul had.

What we are facing in our world is scary. It’s truly heartbreaking. But, God loves to bring light into the darkest of situations.

Take a few moments to look for the light around you today in the midst of the darkness. Where do you see God using this for His good? Where are there glimmers of hope, joy, and peace in the midst of the worry?

As you read and pray today, think about some of the good things that have came out of the last few weeks for you.

🤔 As stressful and uncertain as this situation has been, what has been something good that has came out of it the last couple of weeks for you?
