Psalm 40:11-13 When I was in college, I took an art class where we were supposed to learn how to draw. I say supposed to learn because it just didn’t happen for me. I got so frustrated because, no matter what I did or how hard I tried, I just couldn’t get the picture I was drawing to look anything like how it was supposed to look. Many times, this is how life can feel. We have a picture of what we want our life to look like, but it seems like, no matter what we do or how hard we try, our life just doesn’t come close to what we think it should be. Things happen to us that we don’t understand, we find ourselves in places in life where we never thought we’d get, or we just became tired of all the frustration. Our lives can seem broken because of sin. Both our individual sin and the sin of others. Sometimes, like many of the drawings I did in my art class, we can feel like we’ve messed up our lives beyond repair. The good news is, though, that God has a perfect picture in mind for your life. It may not be the exact picture you have, but He does have a plan and purpose for you, and He will put all the pieces of your life together.
