Luke 9:21-26 Most of us have certain comfort zones when it comes to things we are comfortable doing for someone else. We may not mind handing someone a few bucks when they are standing at the stop light, but we probably aren’t comfortable getting out and talking to that person. We may not be comfortable inviting a friend or family member to church. Most of us are probably uncomfortable giving as much to others as God wants us to. No matter what it is, we like to stay in our comfort zone and stay away from things that just don’t seem too, well, comfortable to us. Thinking that God will never want us to be uncomfortable is flat out false. Throughout the Bible, God purposely puts people in situations that are uncomfortable, so they will trust Him. God does the same thing with us. He puts us into uncomfortable situations where we have to choose whether or not we are going to truly rely on Him. It’s in these uncomfortable situations that God will often do the most incredible things in our lives because of our faith and trust in Him.
