After Jacob stole both his brother Esau’s birthright and his blessing, he ran for his life because his brother wanted to kill him. Jacob had stopped to sleep when he had a dream in which God came to him and told him that He would bless him and inherit the promises he had made to Abraham and Isaac. Jacob certainly didn’t deserve the grace God was giving him, but Jacob got it anyway. Do you ever feel like you don’t deserve the grace, love, and mercy that God gives you. Pray and thank God for loving you and being patient with you, even when you don’t deserve it.
