Read Genesis 3:6-13
In relationships, men are supposed to pursue women. Once they become a family, men are then supposed to lead their families. You can’t lead without pursuing, and you can’t lead well without pursuing the right thing in your life.
What are you pursuing? Are you pursuing God? Are you pursuing a great relationship with your spouse? What about your relationships with friends, family, and those closest to you? Or, are you pursuing the respect of people you don’t like. Pursuing more money? More stuff? More accomplishments or accolades? Attention from someone other than your significant other?
In our lives, we need to pursue God first, and then the relationships with those closest to you. It is only then, when all of your priorities are in order, than you can lead your family and the people around you well.
