Read 2 Chronicles 7:13-15
Have you ever heard someone say, “I know I shouldn’t be like that, but it’s just the way I am?” It’s the perfect statement to rationalize any number of bad behaviors we have. Have a short temper and go into angry outbursts? “It’s just the way I am.” Constantly inconsistent and letting people down? “It’s the way I’ve always been.”
Too many times, we think what we do is who we are. We think that’s how it’s always going to be. What you’ve done isn’t who you are. Things can be different. You can be different. You can get back on track.
God is waiting for you to turn to him. Today is more important than yesterday, and no matter where you’ve been or what you’ve done, God is waiting for you to turn your life around. Even if you don’t feel like there’s a future for you, you have a bright future.
