Read Genesis 3:1-4

When I was a kid, my sister and I would often fight over what we were going to watch, what we were going to play, and pretty much anything else possible that you could fight over as kids. One day, my mom tried to teach us how to compromise. She tried to teach us how we could each give a little and meet somewhere in the middle, so both of us could be happy. While this is probably a good practice, my sister and I just ended up both being unhappy because we were often forced to give up something that was very important to us.

Compromising is very healthy for our relationships, but it can also be deadly if we compromise the wrong things in our life. Eve compromised her relationship with God. The Enemy tricked her into doubting God, and she settled for much less than what God wanted for her life, and it cost her everything.

We should always be willing to compromise on the trivial things in life for the ones we love, but we should never compromise on the most important things in our life. Never compromise your relationship with the people closest to you, and never, ever, compromise your relationships with God or what He has asked you to do.

How often do you compromise on your relationship with God? Never settle and never give up believing what God wants your life to be.
