Bible In A Year | Read: 1 Timothy 6
Now godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. And having food and clothing, with these we shall be content. (1 Timothy 6: 6-8)
Do you like getting advice? Most of us don’t, because it’s usually not what we want to hear. The hard part is realizing if the advice is good or not? Thankfully, God gives us great advice on being content.
Advice will never work until we open our hearts, and humbly pay attention to it. Conversely a fool, that is the person who hardened his heart, would never want to receive any advice. Pride puffs us up, but it is a lie to believe that we know everything.
Have you ever met someone that thinks they know everything? Pretty annoying..right? The truth is, most of us tend to slide towards the pride route and think we know what’s best for us and everyone around us. Don’t believe me? Go check out Facebook or any other social media platform and compare how many people are trying to listen or learn from others compared to wanting to be seen or heard.
