PRAY: This prayer prompt is designed to help get you started in your prayer time. Use this to either begin your personal prayer time or your prayer time with your spouse or family. Elijah was one of the most significant prophets in the Bible. Though he didn’t write any of the Bible like some of the other prophets, he worked miracles throughout his ministry. He also left this world in a miraculous way. It was such a miracle that he is one of only two people in the Bible never to have died. He was taken straight to heaven. Even though Elijah was great, there was still work to be done when he left this life. When Elijah was gone, Elisha was there to take his place. It was probably intimidating for Elisha to step into Elijah’s shoes, but God did a miracle through Elisha right on the spot to reassure him. It can be intimidating to step into someone else’s shoes or think we can measure up to someone else. But God is the one who enables great people to be great. Pray and ask God to help you be confident in Him and who created you to be. Two-a-days are designed for you to connect with God and those closest to you.
