Bible In A Year | Read: Revelation 14

They follow the Lamb wherever he goes. They were purchased from among mankind and offered as firstfruits to God and the Lamb. 5No lie was found in their mouths; they are blameless. (Revelation 14:4-5)

Just prior to God’s final judgment, it is emphasized that there are still people coming to Jesus. People still have a choice: they can follow Jesus or the beast. Angels warn of coming judgment and continue to make available eternal good news that is available to everyone.

The biblical view of human history is one of God continually reaching out to people and most people rejecting what he is offering. Revelation is a scary book filled with evil and judgment, but it is also filled with hope. God will judge, but he continues to make salvation available. We, and the people we know, are headed for judgment. Even today, we can turn to Jesus or reject what God is offering.

I think about the story of the two sons in look and how the Father was waiting on his kid to come home every single day.  How do we know that?  He ran and met him a long way off, because He was looking for him every single day.  That’s the love that God the Father has for us.
