Read: Acts 2:42-47

Did you know you’re designed to live in community?   Well…it’s true, God designed you for community. So…if you want to grow in your relationship with Jesus, intentional relationships with people who have the same goal help so much with that.

Our western society loves the idea of individualism, however, Jesus and the early church were all about being together as much as possible. That’s why we designed this guide for you to text and meet with others each week.  There are three key benefits of being in community with others.  It gives you a place to Be Real, Belong and Grow.  To be equipped with the gospel, you’ll need to incorporate the following habits that will help you to follow Christ. Although good, it’s even better or great to do them with other people on the same journey. No lone rangers can truly follow Jesus. You need to choose community to truly grow.

Our church approach to community similar to what you read above is through small groups. Small groups meet throughout the year once a week to eat together, look at a story from the Bible to discuss, then pray for each other.

Text the Daily: Have you ever been in a small group before?  Or Why are small groups important to you?

Journal Question: How does your current idea of the church compare to the verses you read today?

Prayer Starter: Jesus, I commit myself to growing with a group. Please help me to apply Your Word to my life and prepare me to lead and encourage others with Your Word.
