Read Ephesians 5:13-17
When I was a kid, I used to sleepwalk sometimes. I would fall asleep in my bed and wake up on the couch or in some other odd place around the house. My mom even told me that I once walked out into the hallways and yelled at her for being loud as I was still asleep. This creeped me out because I didn’t like the idea that I was walking around and even talking without knowing what I was doing.
Many of us live our lives the same way. We sleepwalk through life, only half realizing what we are doing and why. We’ve allowed our past experiences, our past mistakes, and even our past successes to lull us asleep. Before we know it, we’ve drifted away from God and the life He created us for.
God calls us to pay attention to how we live and to make the most out of all the opportunities God has given us. We need to wake up, stop sleepwalking through our lives, and live out the life that God has called us to.]]>
