4 x 6 Plan | Read: Matthew 10:1-15 & Romans 7:7-25

Go and announce to them that the Kingdom of Heaven is near. (Matthew 10:7)

Have you ever felt inadequate or unqualified for the tasks God has called you to? Maybe you’ve thought, “I’m too young,” or “I don’t have enough experience.” In Matthew 10:1-15, Jesus calls and sends out His disciples, giving them authority to heal the sick, raise the dead, and cast out demons. It’s a daunting mission, and one that may seem overwhelming to us as well. But the good news is that God’s grace empowers us beyond our own abilities and qualifications.

When Jesus called His disciples, He didn’t choose the most qualified or experienced individuals. He called ordinary fishermen, tax collectors, and ordinary people like you and me. He saw their potential and knew that with His power and grace, they could accomplish great things. The same is true for us. We may feel inadequate, but God’s grace is more than sufficient to equip us for every task He sets before us. We don’t have to rely on our own strength or qualifications because it’s God who works in and through us.

So today, let’s embrace the truth that God’s grace empowers us. Let go of any feelings of inadequacy and step out in faith, knowing that as we trust in Him, He will enable us to do extraordinary things for His glory. We can approach every situation with confidence, knowing that it’s not about our own abilities, but about the power of God working in us. Let’s rely on His grace and boldly step into the calling He has placed on our lives.

The “Great” News of the Gospel | Romans 7:7-25

In Romans 7:7-25, the apostle Paul expresses his struggle with sin and the internal conflict between his desires to do what is right and his inability to carry it out. It’s a relatable struggle for many of us—feeling trapped by our own weaknesses and failures. But amidst this struggle, the good news of the gospel shines brightly.

The gospel reminds us that our righteousness does not depend on our own efforts or ability to overcome sin. Instead, it is found in Jesus Christ and His finished work on the cross. Paul acknowledges that it is through Jesus that we find deliverance from the power of sin. We no longer have to rely on our own strength, for the grace of God empowers us to live a victorious life. It is by His grace alone that we are set free from the bondage of sin and given the ability to live in righteousness.

So, let us embrace the great news of the gospel. We are not defined by our past failures or present struggles. Instead, we are defined by the love and grace of our Savior. His grace covers us completely, and His Spirit dwells within us, guiding and empowering us to walk in victory over sin. Today, let’s rest in the assurance that God’s grace is sufficient, and through Christ, we are more than conquerors.
