4 x 6 Plan | Read: Mark 13:14-37 & 2 Corinthians 5:1-10
Heaven and earth will disappear, but my words will never disappear. (Mark 13:31)
We are reminded today that no matter what happens in this world, our future is secure in Christ. Jesus tells us that the end times will be marked by great distress and tribulation, but that we can have peace knowing that our salvation is secure in Him.
So how can we practically apply this truth to our lives? Here are a few practical steps:
Trust (He’s in control) – Instead of worrying about the future, we can trust in God’s unmerited favor and know that He is in control. We don’t need to earn His love or approval because it is freely given to us through Christ.
Walk (in peace) – When we feel anxious or overwhelmed by the chaos around us, we can walk in the peace that surpasses all understanding. This peace comes from knowing that our future is secure in Him.
Look (to Jesus) – Instead of getting caught up in theories or predictions about the end times, we can keep our focus on Jesus. He is the author and finisher of our faith, and He will see us through whatever comes our way.
Jesus reminds us that our future is secure in Him, and that we can live with confidence and boldness in the present moment. We don’t need to worry about the end times because we know that our salvation is secure in Him. As we trust in His unmerited favor, walk in His peace, keep our eyes fixed on Jesus, and share the Gospel boldly, we will be a light to the world around us and a reflection of His grace and love.
