Ephesians 2:8-10 I’m not a conspiracy theorist, but I love talking to people who buy into conspiracy theories. I get a kick out of hearing the stories they have on how the government controls everything, college and professional sports are fixed, how big companies make us sick to sell more medicine, and that aliens have landed on our planet. I don’t buy into much of what I hear, and I don’t know that any of it is ever true, but I like the creativity that goes into coming up with the stories whether they are true or not. What’s interesting to me is that once someone buys into a conspiracy theory, it completely changes their whole view of the world. Once they believe something to be true about the government, big companies, or professional sports, they constantly find information that supports their theories. Whether or not something is actually true has no bearing on the fact that they believe it’s true. Truth be told, we all have a little bit of this built into us. You may not be a conspiracy theorist, but you do allow your beliefs to cloud your view of reality. The Bible tells us that each one of us are God’s handiwork. He created us just like a sculptor creates a sculpture or a painter creates a painting. We are God’s masterpiece. God views us as special, unique, and created exactly the way He wants us to be. That’s who we are. That’s reality. But, we often view ourselves as incomplete, weak, or just not good enough. We feel inadequate in any number of areas of our life. Like someone who buys into conspiracies, we begin to constantly find evidence that we aren’t good enough when we buy into the idea that we are inadequate. God’s view of your is different than you think. He doesn’t focus on your weaknesses as much as He does your potential. He isn’t bothered by the fact that you’re not perfect. That’s just more opportunity for Him to do greater things in your life. Don’t allow yourself to buy into the lie that you aren’t good enough. God created you exactly the way you’re supposed to be. Sure, you may have some growing to do, but you’re already God’s masterpiece. // TWO-A-DAYS // GO A LITTLE FARTHER WITH YOUR DAILY DEVOTIONS // Go through these questions with your spouse, kids, or friend, or you can even journal about the answers to these questions:
