Read Micah 7:7-8
A few years ago, I picked up a stomach bug from some friends. I began getting sick just hours after eating at a mexican restaurant. Even though it wasn’t the mexican food that had made me sick, I couldn’t eat at any mexican restaurants for over a year. It was a complete mental issue. Over time, though, I had to suck it up and get over it because my wife certainly wasn’t going to miss out on mexican food for the rest of her life.
There are times in our life when we have get past the past and move on to the future. Many times, we can get so focused on the past that we miss out on what God has in store for us in the present and in the future. There may be failures and screw ups in our past, but we can’t allow that to keep us from taking the risks that God wants us to take now.
Have you allowed your past to keep you from doing what God wants you to be doing now? Don’t allow things that have come and gone to get in the way of what God has in store.]]>
