Read Hebrews 4:12-16

No matter what side you’re on, politics can be exhausting. Have you ever watched a political debate or talking heads on the news on television where they just skirt around the issues?  They give half-hearted, watered down answers to questions that are often monumentally important to the average person.  Or better yet, your boss comes in with a new mandate only to have little or no knowledge of how or why the status quo is changing.  When we ask questions, we want real answers.  We want sincere, open responses that clarify, challenge, or increase our understanding of issues that matter.

The cool part about God is that he always has real answers for real people.  As His children, our lives are incredibly important to God, and He wants to play a significant role in the choices we make on a daily basis.  Without God’s influence, we will never truly experience life.  Remember that not only are you relevant to God, but He is relevant to your everyday life as well.

How do you typically view your time with God? As something to check off a list or a time to hear from and spend time with a heavenly Father who loves you, has a plan for you, and has the answers to the questions you are asking? How can you make sure your daily time with God is more about drawing closer to God and less about checking off an item on a checklist?]]>
