Read 1 Samuel 14:7-12

Have you ever been motivated to do something? Maybe it was to lose weight or be healthy. It could be to build something, clean something, learn something, or any number of other things. We all go through these times when we get motivated or inspired. We see someone playing guitar, and we think “tomorrow, I am going to learn how to play.” We see someone create a cool piece of art, and we think “tomorrow, I am going to start drawing again.” It’s really easy to get inspired to do something. It’s a completely different thing to actually do something.

Many of us have been motivated, inspired, or burdened to do something for God or, at least, live our life for God the best we can. We’ve gotten the motivation to read God’s Word more or pray. We’ve been burdened for people, so we get inspired to go help feed the homeless or something similar. We always tell ourselves we will start doing it tomorrow. But, more often than not, the motivation is gone by the time tomorrow comes, and we never do anything about it.

What if we stopped just being motivated to do things and actually did them? What if we chose to do TODAY what God wants us to do with our lives? What all could God do in and through us? Stop waiting for tomorrow. Start doing today.
