PRAY: This prayer prompt is designed to help get you started in your prayer time. Use this to either begin your personal prayer time or your prayer time with your spouse or family. King Darius did not intend to persecute Daniel. He was tricked by those who resented Daniel’s preferred status. They attacked Danie’s faithfulness to God, portraying it as disloyalty to the king. The king loved and trusted Daniel, but he was bound by the law. It grieved him to sentence Daniel to death, and he blessed Daniel as he was thrown into the lion’s den. Daniel, however, survived the night in with the hungry lions. God saved Daniel because of his integrity in prayer, his loyalty to the king, and the king’s confidence in the power of Daniel’s God. Spend time today sharing with God the things that seem impossible in your life. Pray to ask Him to help you overcome them under His power.
