Matthew 1:18-19 & Galatians 1:10 For many people, what other people think of them is one of the most important things in the world to them. They make decisions and live almost their entire lives based upon what people will think about what they do. The tragic part of this is that we often completely forget to consider what God thinks about our life. We take for granted that Mary was a virgin when we hear the Christmas story today, but this was a scandalous thing at that time. No one believed that a virgin would be able to be pregnant. Further, in that time, her unfaithfulness called for the punishment of being put to death. Despite her difficult circumstances, Mary chose to care more about what God thought about her than she did anyone else. She knew that His opinion of her was way more important than any other person in the world’s opinion. What about you? Do you care more about God’s opinion or other people’s opinion of you?]]>
